Talk about some world-known sports events

The first tournament took place in 1877. 200 spectators watched the first tournament. 600 mil. spectators from 52 countries of the world watched the final in 1992. Women couldn’t play till 1883. They used to be only spectators and they used to encourage players. The winner of the 1. tournament was Spencer Gore. Clothes have changed. Men used to wear long cream trousers and shirts with long sleeves. When the weather was bad, they used to wear caps and jackets.
