The winter OG have a short history next summer OG. The first winter OG were held in 1924 in Chamonix. The winter OG were held every four years. Since 1992 have been winter OG in other year them summer OG. In 1924 competitors competed in 5 sports disciplines – skiing, speed skating, figure skating, ice hockey and bobsleighing. The most successful from our competitors were in Nagano, where the ice-hockey team won gold medal.
The Olympic Symbols are:
- The Flag with five coloured circles. The colours are blue, yellow, black, green and red.
- The Olympic Fire from the sacred grave in Greek Olympia. It must burn at the main Olympic stadium for the whole period of the Olympic game.
- The Olympic motto: Citius, atius, fortius, which has been used since 1920 as well as the Olympic vow.
- The Olympic anthem was composed in 1896.
